クラブの仕組み

～English Picture Book Club のご案内～

The Goals of the English Picture Book Club :

活動の目的：

  • To inspire, and maintain, parent-child English use at home.

  • 家庭内において親子で英語をつかうことを促進し、また、継続させます。

  • low-cost access to English picture books for the members.

  • メンバー達は、英語の絵本を低コストで入手することができます。

  • to provide external motivation to keep parents reading to their kids at home.

  • 両親に対し、子どもへの絵本の読み聞かせを習慣にする動機付けになります。

活動の概要：

  • まず、メンバー達はそれぞれ、ブックリストの中から好きな絵本を１冊選びます。（１冊あたり1,000円～2,000円です）

  • 次に、購入した絵本に出てくる語彙をつかって、各家庭で16組の絵カードをつくります。（合計32枚です）

  • そして、最も重要なポイントは、メンバーの間で、絵本の交換をすることです。１週間おきまたは２週間おきなど、定期的に、自宅にある絵本とカードのセットを、他のメンバー達と交換します。

  • 最初に１回、わたしからメンバー達にオリエンテーションを行います。また、１年のうちに３～４回、メンバー達を集め、わたし自身が絵本の読み聞かせや指導を行います。なお、クラブを管理し、メンバー間のコミュニケーションを円滑にするため、メンバーの中から２名の代表者をもうけます。

必要な材料：厚紙（画用紙）を１枚用意していただきます。

Trial lesson/orientation meeting at Toyota Sangyo Bunka Center, 4 fl., on Tuesday, February 27 from 4-5pm. This is with a group of mothers from the Toyota Wai-Wai group (http://toyotawaiwai.net/?p=356). Please contact them or me if you’d like to join the group.

Our new group in Otobegaoka is looking for more members. Please contact me (here) if you would like to join the group.　We are meeting the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

We already have a 2-3 families interested in making a group in Miyoshigaoka. We are still looking for a few more families to make a group. If you are interested, please contact me (here) so we can start!

I would like to start Book Reading Clubs in Toyota. But in Toyota, if we don’t already have  group, it is difficult to rent a room. If you have a group interested in starting a Book Club, please contact me (here , or 090-7691-5641) so  we can start your book club!

Cost 受講料

Orientation Meetings /説明会  FREE

Each family buys 1 picture book- ¥1,000-¥2,000.

メンバー達はそれぞれ、ブックリストの中から好きな絵本を１冊選びます。（１冊あたり1,000円～2,000円です）

For each meeting of the group, once a month, each family pays me ¥1000. And I pay for the room.

毎月１回、メンバー達を集め、わたし自身が絵本の読み聞かせー１回１家族　ー １０００円。

Groups

We now have an English Picture Book Club (EPBC) in Otobegaoka! Thank you to the mothers for coming to the Orientation Meeting, and making a Club!

乙部ヶ丘に英語絵本倶楽部（EPBC）があります！ オリエンテーションに来て、クラブを作ってくれて、母親に感謝します！

We plan to meet once a month, on Tuesdays afternoons, probably from 4:30, in the upstairs room at the Yamamomo building.

私たちは月曜日に、火曜日の午後、おそらく4時半から、やまもも会場の階上の部屋で会う予定です。

First, we must get permission from the leaders in Otobegaoka, but hope to start meeting from December 2017. The mothers are already starting to buy their picture books and make karuta card sets for their books. Thanks again, everyone!

Hi, my name is Elton. I first came to Japan in 1994. I moved to Toyota with my family in April this year. We lived in Shizuoka for more than 20 years. Before that, I lived in Mie.

こんにちは、私の名前はエルトンです。私は1994年に初めて日本に来ました。私は今年4月に家族と一緒に豊田市に移りました。私たちは静岡に20年以上住んでいました。それ以前は三重に住んでいました。

I have students from 4 years old to 73 years old.

私は4歳から73歳までの生徒がいます。

In Shizuoka, I teach kindergarten English classes, elementary and junior high school level classes, and adult English conversation classes.

静岡では、私は幼稚園の英語教室、小中学校のクラス、成人英語の会話クラスを教えています。

For 14 years, I taught in the Fujikawa-cho kindergarten, elementary and junior high schools.

14年間、藤川町の幼稚園、小中学校で教えました。

I am starting English Picture Book Clubs in the Toyota and Miyoshi.

私は豊田市と三好市で英語絵本クラブを始める。

I also teach yoga.

私はヨガも教えています。

My family moved to Toyota in April 2017 so my son can go to an international junior high school. I am still teaching in Shizuoka, but am trying to build a teaching business around Toyota.

私の家族は2017年4月に豊田市に移りましたので、私の息子は国際的な中学校に行くことができます。私はまだ静岡で教えていますが、豊田市を中心に教えるビジネスを構築しようとしています。

At other times, I have been a businessman, manager, salesman, camp leader, carpenter, painter, cook, baker, and a few other things.

In my free time, I enjoy time with my family, take walks, go cycling, hiking and camping, and enjoy learning about many things. And I make kombucha.
